A Look at the Server Room
Here is a quick pic of my workplace server room. We run 7 servers and a host of test equipment. I know what you're thinking, I'm in desperate need of some virtualization. That will come next year, I hope.

Big Hat Days
It's been a few years since our last visit to the Clovis Big Hat days. What a great day to wander the streets of old town Clovis to look at the booths, purchase some goodies and stroll around. We were able to talk the kids out of the overpriced rides and bounce houses. Big thanks to Uncle PTrav who bought the kids some rubber band shooter guns.
I heard on the radio today coming in to work that there were over 100,000 people at the event this weekend.

Aloha Airlines Suspends Flights.

Article from KITV.com regarding the bankruptcy of Aloha airlines. We just flew with them in June 2007 and I must admit it was one of my best flights to Hawaii. I was a little concerned on flying a 737-700 from Oakland to Kahului but the trip was smooth and seem to take less time. Sorry to see them go. This will only make the R/T to Hawaii that much more in the future. Last June it was 400.00 per person, which at the time was a bargain.
Google Doc Goes Offline

Interesting article from ZDnet regarding the future ability to use Google Docs offline. I have been using Google Docs for the majority of my home items. It's very convenient to be able to access your documents from any computer with an Internet connection. For a user that just purchased his third laptop, Google Docs takes a lot of stress of trying to keep my documents synced up for the various computers. The application is a perfect match for the type of documents that I use (simple letters, small spreadsheet). Is this the first nail in the coffin for Microsoft Office?
