Dropbox has changed their terms of service for the product and has addressed some of the security questions that users have asked. Top one the list for me, is the the standard AES-256 encryption. I still manage to keep a TrueCrypt volume on my DropBox folder for the most sensitive documents that I store, but the whole box encryption is a nice addition. I think that Dropbox is moving to become a standard secure file sharing service that can align itself with banks and other financial services in the future.
